How to Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Firstly, I’ll address the emotional/spiritual side, then I’ll focus on the physical/product side to help you with reducing fine lines and wrinkles, not to mention scars, et al.
I’ve written about trying to remove the stresses in our day-to-day lives by meditating, doing yoga, exercise or just walking to clear our mind. But for some of us life is just too busy and there are simply not enough hours in the day to look after your job, your family and least of all YOU!
But do you know what I’ve uncovered?
Stress is all about how YOU perceive and handle/react to an event. Some tragic events like death may be unavoidable and it is natural to feel emotions of panic, fear, anxiety and depression. Remember if you can’t speak to a family member or friend there is help out there, ….AND it IS perfectly OK to grieve. Please seek help in your local area by calling a ‘Help Line’.
ACCEPT your circumstances and try to build RESILIENCE by focusing on the things that are important and not trivial. For example, being angry at a person who cut you off at an intersection is not going to change what happened, so focus on what you CAN control and don’t waste your precious time on fools and idiots out there!
Breathe deeply, notice how your body feels and becomes aware of everything you see and hear. Be GRATEFUL for your beautiful life and notice how you’ll feel CALMER than if your mind focussed on the negative event. This is what today’s psychologist call ‘mindfulness’ or ‘resilience’.
The practice of focusing on purpose and positive reinforcement has been around for centuries. I sincerely encourage you to read up, and educate yourself on this as it has helped me ‘unknowingly’ for a number of years. For some of us, this way of thinking can come naturally, but for most of us we need guidance. So as a starting point I encourage you to please check out YouTube for Mindfulness Guidance and Positive Affirmations.
OK SO I’M LEARNING TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY EMOTIONS…WHAT ABOUT PRODUCTS?
When I was 20 years old I was riding my bicycle to my girlfriends home, only to never make it!
I got hit and left on the road by a repeat offending drunk driver who was in his 60s!! My injuries left me in hospital for 4 long weeks with horrific head and facial injuries. I did not look into a mirror until the last week in hospital and naturally I was distressed and inconsolable at what I saw in the mirror. I still have scars 30 years later but nothing you would ever notice, just take a look at my profile picture!
OK to be honest, if I show you where to look really close up…only then will you ever know where those scars are….but so what…I’m PROUD and a SURVIVOR!!
My gorgeous mum looked after me physically and put up with my emotional ups and downs…she seriously deserves a bravery medal of putting up with me! In any case she forced me to use pure vitamin E oil on my scars and over the following 12 months I could not believe how well my skin reacted to the treatment. I used this oil for several years in my twenties but had I known what I discovered in my forties who knows how much lesser my scars would have been? But at least it got rid of my acne scars….YEAH!!!!
Pure vitamin E on its own is NOT enough…we need other essential ingredients to ensure we get rid of, or at least reduce, stretch marks, acne scars and abrasions…and of course fine lines and wrinkles!
What I discovered by accident was Argan oil, please click here to take you to my Product Review page. Well with a little help from my aunty! My Aunty Niki came to visit our family from Greece and she came equipped with her Moroccan Argan oil and asked me….no…she didn’t ask me….she TOLD me to try it. I was converted within 3 months of trying it!
Argan oil is known to be one of the rarest, hence most expensive oils in the world. Pure, original Argan oil is hard to obtain and production is time-consuming, thereby its price is high. Not all Argan Oil on the market is real and pure so be careful of the cheaper variety as it may be diluted and therefore ineffective. For your guide, Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the Argan tree (Argania spinosa L.) found in Morocco.
It must be 100% pure and be applied twice daily and watch your skin slowly respond to the benefits of the antioxidants capable of helping to restore skin elasticity and contribute to healthier looking skin. Getting rid of wrinkles is never easy and no product can do so without help from many different sources. Argan oil, please click here to take you to my Review page, may be considered one of those sources and remember different skins react differently to different treatments.
Please try and let me know your thoughts in due course. Indeed if you have experienced any trauma and tried Argan oil please share to help others find solutions to their needs by posting your comments.
Until next time….here’s health to YOU!
